My collegiate major in Ancient Languages began a fascination with the world of old. Later work with Christian History magazine taught me more about civilization since Roman times. I edited issues of Christian History that focused on Augustine, Money, and Women. Those issues are available in electronic form through the magazine’s new owner, Christianity Today. . . . I co-wrote the book The 100 Most Important Events in Christian History with Ken Curtis and Steve Lang. I love its original title, dates with Destiny. . . . I’ve also done a few other historical “100” books with my Dad—100 Bible Verses That Changed the World and The 100 Most Important Books of the 20th Century (which sounded like a really good idea in 1999 but hasn’t had a great shelf life).
